SAN FRANCISCO, September 17, 2024 – Stitch Fix, Inc (NASDAQ: SFIX), the leading online personal styling service, announced today that it is partnering with ThredUp, one of the largest online resale platforms, to provide its clients with the opportunity to resell gently-worn items for Stitch Fix credit.
“At Stitch Fix, our mission is to help people discover the styles they will love that fit perfectly so they always look and feel their best. As part of this, we support our clients through wardrobe updates daily – from seasonal refreshes to life and body changes,” said Debbie Woloshin, Chief Marketing Officer, Stitch Fix. “Our partnership with ThredUp allows us to offer our clients a solution to responsibly update the clothing, footwear and accessories that no longer work for them, while also enabling them to earn credit towards new pieces that better meet their current style needs.”
Through the new program, clients can earn Stitch Fix credit for sending in gently-worn items to ThredUp. To participate, clients can generate a prepaid shipping label from stitchfix.thredup.com, fill any shippable box or bag with Womens and Kids apparel, shoes, and accessories from any brand in their closet, and ship it to ThredUp at no cost to them. For any items that sell on ThredUp, clients will receive Stitch Fix credit.
The program is powered by ThredUp’s Resale-as-a-Service® (RaaS®), which enables fashion brands and retailers to deliver customizable, scalable resale experiences to their customers. Stitch Fix joins more than 50 other brands offering resale programs through RaaS, including J.Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, and Madewell.
