Stitch Fix Continues to Reimagine How It Serves Clients with New and More Flexible Fix Options

  • At Stitch Fix, we pride ourselves on sending every client a Fix as unique as they are. We are able to do this thanks to our team of expert Stylists and proprietary algorithms built from the billions of insights we’ve gathered on style and fit.  

    Over the past year, we have been innovating how we can best serve our clients through these Fixes, which has included incorporating more flexibility into the experience. And, today, we are announcing even more ways for our clients to discover the clothing and accessories they will love. 

    Love a Style? Build a Fix Around It – Imagine this. You are shopping Freestyle, our curated e-commerce shopping experience customized to each client’s style, fit and size preferences, and find that one perfect piece — a dress for an upcoming event, a pair of jeans in a silhouette you’ve been wanting to try, or a bomber jacket that would be perfect for work.  But, you could use a little help with how to style it. For those who love the discovery on Freestyle but still rely on the expert eye of a Stylist to pull looks together, in the coming weeks, we will begin rolling out the option to build a Fix around a chosen Freestyle item. 

    Introducing Themed Fixes Sometimes clients want to try something completely new, or need a Fix curated to support a particular event or moment. We are now making it even easier to receive perfectly styled Fixes for a specific occasion or trend. These Themed Fixes, which we are testing with select clients, are curated by our Stylists and also personalized to each client. We are currently offering themes ranging from Summer Vacay and Coastal Casual to Golf, Workwear Refresh and more, with new themes launching on a regular basis based on the latest trends and seasonal moments. 

    Continuing to Offer Larger Fixes  – We currently offer the opportunity for clients to receive up to eight items in a Fix. Our clients love it, and how it helps them refresh their closets seasonally, explore current trends and update their wardrobes for big and small life moments. These larger Fixes also help us get to know our clients faster, which means we can serve them that much better. Previously only available to existing clients, we are now testing the ability for new clients to receive up to eight items, providing first-time clients with more options that match their fit, budget and style preferences.

    More On-Trend Styles for Clients to Choose From – Over the past year, we have also been focused on strengthening our merchandise assortment by offering greater variety and on-trend styles, which is core to our ability to offer these new Fix enhancements. Our merchandising team has added thousands of new items and styles for clients, enabling us to deliver head-to-toe outfitting solutions and cater to an even wider array of style and fit preferences.  

    At Stitch Fix, we know traditional apparel shopping is broken and we’re here to fix it through our personalized styling service. The updates we are sharing today support this – giving clients more choices in how they discover the clothing and accessories they will love.
