  • As we transition into a new season, we are unveiling the fashion trends that are set to define Fall 2024. By combining our deep industry insights with feedback from our expert Stylists as well as a comprehensive analysis of recent style data from our millions of clients, we’ve identified the top five trends that will shape our wardrobes this fall.

Book Smart: Putting P(r)ep In Your Step

The prep school-inspired styles, which were highlighted in our 2024 Style Forecast, are continuing to gain traction. Over the past three months, client requests for “preppy” have increased 15% and demand for “plaid” has surged by 49%. Loafers are also making a comeback with our Women’s clients, with requests for this classic style up 39% since last year. We’ve also seen a 25% increase in mentions of “book clubs” compared to last year, indicating that this trend is influencing more than just fashion.

    Part-Time Sport, Full-Time Style

Our clients are embracing golf, tennis and pickleball-inspired pieces they can wear on and off the court. Coined Sporty-ish, the trend captures the blend of athletic and everyday wear. Over the last three months we’ve seen a 150% increase in Women’s and Men’s requests for pickleball-friendly items, and mentions of “tennis” have risen by 27%. Skorts are quickly becoming one of our best selling styles, with Women’s requests up 37% from last summer. For Men, there’s been a 10% increase in requests for golf styles and a 21% rise in demand for polos compared to last year.

Home Is Where The Heart(land) Is

Country music and Western-inspired television shows continue to influence fashion, driving the Heartland trend. This look is all about utility-inspired classics and relaxed plaids with the addition of feminine touches. With the return of Yellowstone and the film premiere of Somewhere in Montana, we expect this rustic aesthetic to grow in popularity. Requests mentioning “western” have increased by 25% while those for “rugged” have climbed by 50% since last summer. We’ve also seen an 11% increase in Women’s requests for denim jackets over the past three months.

    Chasing the Stars

Alongside the release of space-centric films this fall, including Fly Me to the Moon and Apollo 13: Survival, we expect to see Cosmic Wanderlust looks this fall. This celestial-inspired style features star patterns, silver metallics and astro graphics. Since last year, requests for “silver” have spiked 28%, while mentions of stars have surged by 113%. Additionally, we’ve seen more than 1,500 client mentions of the word “cosmic” in Fix Request notes this year.

Oui Can’t Get Enough Of Parisian Inspired Style

Following the excitement of the Olympics and the return of Emily in Paris for its fourth season, Parisian fashion is set to make a statement this fall. In the past three months, requests for “stripes” have increased by 13% and mentions of “Paris” have risen by 17% since last year. To capture the effortless elegance that French style is known for, we are introducing the “Four Bs” fall outfit formula: Blazer + Button Down + Basic Denim + Ballet Flats. With mentions of “elegance” up 32% since last year, this simple styling method is the perfect way for our clients to channel their inner French girl – tres chic!

No matter which trend catches our clients’ eye this season, our Stylists are prepared to help them discover the styles they will love.
