With the help of our expert stylists and inspiration from our community, we’re introducing new ways for  our clients to discover the things they love – making it easy for them to buy new items directly in Freestyle or ask their Stylist for them in their next Fix.

Shoppable community inspiration

We’re implementing the latest technology to let clients shop personalized looks and styles inspired by others in the Stitch Fix community. When a client posts their look on Instagram with #StitchFixStyle, with their permission, we’ll re-share the look across relevant client’s Stitch Fix home feeds with shoppable recommendations for similar items. 

We’ve built this new experience with our signature approach of blending the best of art and science:  computer vision identifies individual pieces and items in the community inspiration, and algorithms comb through our available inventory to surface items inspired by the look that are curated for each client based on their individual style preferences, fit and size. Our stylists play a critical role infusing their artistic expertise into the experience, working in lockstep with our data scientists to train our new computer vision models to understand the nuance and context of different styles and items. 

Stylist tips in your feed

When we think about helping our clients look and feel their best, we not only want to introduce relatable and attainable inspiration – we also want to make sure each of our clients can access the guidance and advice they need from our expert stylists, whenever they need it. To do this, we’re now sharing shoppable style tips and advice in each client’s Stitch Fix homepage, bringing together our powerful capability to discover new and emerging trends in our data with our expert stylists who share ideas for how to wear trending styles and looks. 

Every new stylist tip – from how to embrace “Cottagecore” to which 90s styles to incorporate into your closet – is personalized for each client based on their style preferences. We’ll show new trends to try with shoppable recommendations for items in their personal Freestyle store that are tailored to their style preferences, fit and size.

As we continue to introduce new ways for our clients to be inspired and discover new styles – whether it’s a stylist sharing tips for trying a new trend or a fellow Stitch Fix client inspiring our clients – we want to continue keeping our stylists and clients at the heart of how we give clients the confidence to wear new styles and trends in ways that feel authentic to them.
